Since spending a lot of my childhood time in an antique store, my relationship with homeware has taken many turns; From dreaming about a normal home with IKEA furniture to getting lost in prefabricated shabby chic. But one way or the other, I've always found myself rebounding to the comfort of old objects.
They're often far from perfect. But to me, their oddities add personality and make us bond with our interior.

 

I founded Merde out of a passion for sourcing and advocating one-of-a-kind pieces, and presenting them in an approachable way. Some older than others, but all with a genuine beauty refined over time. They already have a story to tell. This is just a tiny corner of the internet giving them a new raison d'être.
